I suppose should have as a player but there were other factors that were more important to me at the time. My opinion ( and it is just my opinion and probably off topic) but if they don't have the staff with the knowledge to be able to solve disputes quickly ( work out side pots, declare the winning hand etc and with the people management skills to calm down or control those annoying players who try and ruin it for everyone while still finding to help the new player also I will not be back. Also if the venue's staff are rude or really slow I would not attend again ( only that venue). I have had some really bad experiences at some and swore I would never go back.

Unfortunatly madali 888pl is not devoid poor tournement staff, one venue a few months back a TC fueled a dispute, was it not for the venue staff and committee members this could have got ugly. I not sure who contacted 888pl senior staff but Nathan arrived on the scene quickly who I suppose smoothed some ruffled feathers.

I visit the venue every infrequently and each time there was a different TC in charge this is not conducive to building a good player/venue/TC harmony.

Here in my region we have had less than desirable TC's

Gundog I went to venue fairly regularly b4, it worked then with the regulars 5000 + 2 cards at 5000 each.

Their new structure was ok and i can see how it would be enticing, the time increases over the levels and extra chips, also the loss of antes.

That being said I was distappointed with it overall tables ect i just didnt feel comfortable. The stucture itself changed nothing for me, but others seemed only to loosen their play(more than normal  ).

I just dont see how they are going to increase their numbers which is what i kept hearing the problem was. Its a tight group who play there and are very welcoming, but that structure in my opinion doesnt add value to the game and if they get the numbers up to what they were getting with 888 for a period it might not work. The final table there b4 you were able to play a good game and often lasted for quite a while.

Alot of the players are their members/players so not alot will change for them unless they get them there, it wasnt the structure, just that alot of players there arnt frequent players.

I guess i just like my 888PL

also mate unless you had bare feet the casino would of more than likely let you in, I wore thongs to play poker all summer. :D

The Casino let you in wearing almost any shoes Gundog... I really doubt they turned you away unless you were wearing skis.

I would have thought with the bigger chipstack you can afford to sit back and let the loose players dump chips every which way, almost guaranteeing when you had the preimum hand 8 times out of 10 you will get paid off.

I actually prefer to have ante's I would be happy to see them kick in at the 1k/2k level.
When comparing 888pl's blind timings near the end of the night they change far too quickly, it rapidly becomes a shove fest.

In that case it would've been nice to actually KNOW the blinds you played.

Extremely hard to comment on the blind structure when you haven't written anything apart from the length of time.
