That should help.....
The only reason I will be going back to the Sema4 Jo is to cash in my PUB CARD and maybe do a head count on how many turn up to play NPL.
I'm so pissed off looking for a venue where I can enjoy a decent game of poker. Any suggestions??
I won't be there to play poker either mate, I'll be there to ask exactly wtf are they doing???
As far as where to play, I am hoping GK and the team will come up with a solution very soon....
What?, poker without the river??, you've just made my dreams come true!!!

Garth, I know it is expensive, but it would still be worth sending another sms on Monday telling 888pl players that Semaphore is cancelled indefinitely (Monday & Friday). Some of them might think it was just Friday and still show up Monday. We don't want many runners there Monday...

Jo what kind of numbers was Sema4 drawing Friday nights.
I checked NPL web site and it appears that Pooraka got a tad over 40 on Friday, each time I played there on a fridays it was similar numbers, this is oboviously a loyality factor or just didnt know of the change.
So that begs the question what percentage of players play because of the venue or is it who runs the game.

I went to Pooraka for a laugh Gundog and can tell you there was at least 10 Npl players, the rest were mainly regulars with a few 888 players that seem to play pretty much everynight somewhere.
I cant see alot changing there, even if they get more runners they are getting an inferior competetion/provider.
Not sure ill ever do Npl again their tables are so much smaller, very awkward, the chip colours are different, confusing, plus im enjoying the apportunities 888PL are offering to players to further our games into the wider poker world.

The reality is that people everywhere are looking for ways to save a buck (I am seeing this directly in my own business) and the Semaphore Hotel are no different. What they dont realise is that the 888pl has many players that are loyal to there leauge. This could cost the Semaphore alot of money as there is only a limited pool of players spread accrosss all leauges and many 888 players may just play elsewhere. I for one was only an occassional Semaphore player but will now play elsewhere. The cheapest deal is not always the best deal and i believe they will find this out shortly!

agree with that, i think brand loyalty is probably something that the pubs overlook
well more to the point, they estimate their own brand to be more important than the poker brand, which to the barflies, would certainly be the case, but to the pub poker player, isn't

In this case gents it is simply a case of a good deal has offered itself and we owe our existing supplier a bit of backpay.

Something needs to be done here.
A lot can be said but won't. In it all we are working on several things and Matty is working hard as he takes on the sales role as well.
More news to come over the next few weeks that should put a smile on many faces.
I have heard that there is a bit of discussion between 888pl and another provider about a national take over with that company being encouraged to reband to 888PL , has the rumour any legs.

If anything like that were to occur do you not think an announcement would have been made by now?
I do like the rebrand to 888PL concept, that's the newest rumor I have heard.
