Just a thought but would it not be a better idea to change the schedule at the end of this season. ie in 3 weeks.
People have been playing regular games for the majority of the season and now things get changed. Unsure if the top 5 qualify for the quarter finals or not, but if I was just out side the top 5 wouldn't be too happy. Also two events removed were 10x mulipliers so would effect people chasing dream team points.
Also why launch it on the same day that 400+ of the best players will not be able to participate as they are at the 888pl Grand Final.
Just seems a little bit strange.

1.) Nope, needed to change now, with the GF on that weekend and we did not want feeders running. These games wouldn't even get up with minimum amount of runners required if we ran this weekend.
2.) No they don't, hence why we change it mid season.
3.) There will be two events with a 10x multiplier, this is a comms issues and I will speak to Matty.
4.) Because we have 50,000 active members of which 3,000 participate online regularly. Of the 400 about 200 play online regularly. New schedule does not require a field size and events will operate with 2 runners. GTD's remain in place.
I hope you find the explanations enlightening.

Re: New Super Saturday Schedule
Garth forgot to mention that just because there's 400+ runners at the GF that doesn't mean to say that some/most/any of them are any good
There'll be:
Luckboxes
Non-thinking players
Reasonable players
People who happen to be able to afford it
And a whole lot of combinations of the above
It will definitely be interesting.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Agreed benny the cunt the new line up sounds really good. I had better start practicing so I can give some of the better players a run for there money when they return from the grand final.

Re: New Super Saturday Schedule
Minimum runners changing is definitely good, saw a few games go quite close and just fall short which seemed weird becuase they would have had late reg.
Cubed event also looks pretty good.
@Garth: please explain? nothing there that isn't accurate. It's ok to not like it but that's how it happens to be. Maybe what gets a bit old is some things being dressed up as something they aren't or players never learning anything? It's a conversation for a different thread but quite happy to have it with you.

Re: New Super Saturday Schedule
the 888 weekly Grand Final is still listed on 888pl for 12/03/2011 18:00.
As well as all normal saturday events
If players not reading this forum then maybe be surprised if they register, win and dont get a GF ticket
Am sure will be okay by weekend but just advising
