I have the sad role of announcing the passing of an 888PL player and huge fan of Mistress Poker.
Jason "Shagga" Galland, a regular at the Barwon Club in Vic passed away this morning after being rushed to hospital last night.
I don't have the full details yet but will update as I know.
What I do know is that Jason was over here in Adelaide for the past few days for the cricket. He came over here for the past few years for the Australia Day One Dayer with my cousin and his other mate Jason.
Unfortunately my cousin had to cancel last minute this year, but that didn't stop the 2 Jasons coming.
We caught up Tuesday night and played cards at Checkmates. Jason commented that he was having so much fun he could die happy right now. He actually said that 3 times over the past 3 days.
After flying home last night, he collapsed walking from the bus stop to his house. He was rushed to hospital and passed this morning.
It makes me happy knowing he spent his last few days having an awsome time.
Rest in peace Shagga, I'll have a bourbon and play some cards for you tonight.

Damn.
Saw him there, he was sitting behind me. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to chat to them both.
Really sad news mate.

It's stories and times like this that make you remember to enjoy each day to it's fullest as we don't know how many are left.

So sorry to hear of your loss old-man daryl, and to all that knew Shagga. Always hard to know what to say during these times. Words seem so inadequate.
But great point Dave,
Carpe Diem
