Sergio surges

I arrive at Sergio's table to find him firing 650 from the button on the flop of A,3,3!

The preflop pot looks about 2K and he finds a caller from an EP player.

The turn card lands the 6d and once the action is checked to Sergio he bets out 2K of his remaining 6K stack.

With that Sergio moves to beyond his start stack and now sits on 12K.

Carmine crashes

His opponent tanks and says out loud "I am putting you on KQ", eventually he folds but asks Sergio to show his cards, Segio says pick a card and our folder points to the left, Sergio rolls a Tc.

I move over to Carmines table and see a pot of 2K resting on the table, Carmine leads the flop for 600 and the cutoff player calls. The turn card is the Qd and Carmine checks his option.

The cutoff fires out 1600 and Carmine calls and we go to the river of a very bricky 3.

Carmine once more checks and the CO bets 2675 and Carmine eventually folds dropping him down to 14K.

Rollercoasters are normally fun right??!!
With blinds at 100/200 with a 25 ante we see Chris Whitmee raise to 725 from UTG +1.

Action folds to the BB who repops 2,200. Chris tank calls and we go to the flop of

Ad, 8d, 6s and the BB checks

Chris cuts down 3,300 and moves it into the middle.
the BB player then throws out 1 yellow and three purple chips and is told to add another 100 so it is a legal raise.

Chris tanks folds and shows the Ah and with that drops down to 14K.

Liza Tutauha Just grew her stack to 27K after calling a short stack shove from MP after she opened from UTG.

Liza made the call and tabled 77 and her opponent tabled 55. The board rand out and nothing scary appeared and Liza eliminates one player and moves up on the chipstacks!

Chris Whitmee is also heading backwards as he is now on 12K.

Simultaneous Bust outs!!!

Action fold to Pat Dillon in the SB who ships his stack; 4BB's at 1600 and finds a snap call in the BB.

PAT - A4
BB - TT

The board runs out 9,7,9
The turn brings an additional out for Pat with another 9
The river however is the 7.

Over on his neighbours table Sergio open ships his 2.8K stack and finds a caller from a MP player, the BB re ships for 3.9K total and the MP player calls as well.

Sergio - AQ
MP - 88
BB - JTss

The flop produces a rainbow 4,9,6 with one spade
The turn is the 5s giving the all in BB player a flush draw.
The river brings an Ace but it is the Ace of spades giving the BB player the flush and eliminating Sergio from the tourney

In other news all of the reported players are heading backwards except for Josh and Liza.

CHIP COUNTS:

Patrick Lynch (VIC) 5.7K
Carmine (SA) 9K
Josh Rimmington (QLD) 15K
Liza (VIC) 26K
Chris Whitmee (VIC) 10K

A double up and a knock out

Carmine has found a hand just when he needed it; the button open raises and Carmine three bets out of the SB.

The button moves all in and Carmine Snap calls.

Carmine - AA
Button - JJ

The board runs out pretty dry but brings a flush draw on the turn for the JJ but the river bricks and Carmine moves up to 18K.

On another table Pat Lynch has moved all in holding 77 but found a caller with QQ. The flop produces a Queen and that's all she wrote for Pat as he is eliminated from the tournament.

Carmine collision

Carmine has just been eliminated from the tournament at the hand of Mel Judah, I missed all the action but it seems that Mel put on a bit of a hollywood show for Carmine and Carmine called Mel's all in with bottom straight but unfortunately Mel had top straight.

I wondered over to Liza's table and found her raising to 1,800 into the pre flop limpers, she receives a call from everyone but the SB and we have three to a flop of

J,J,7dd

Liza checks and so do the other two players.

Turn card is the 4c and Liza counts out 3,000 and throws it into the middle. The MP position player makes the call and the other player folds.

The river produces the 4h and Liza checks once more and her opponent quickly checks prompting a DAM from Liza as she rolls J8suited (my second favourite hand) for the third nuts and the pot.

With that Liza climbs to 48,000

Christopher Whitmee has been eliminated when he shoved for 10BB from the button with AcTc and ran into the BB's AK. The board bricked out and Chris is sent to the rail.

With only two live players remaining Josh Rimmington and Liza for the team, we are calling it a day and will be back tomorrow to report on further progress.
