Against this opponent I'd get the money in as soon as possible on the flop. I don't think there's any other option than calling the turn.

I would have put him on minimum Kings w/ flush draw or J9/JJ

I don't do time. You should know how the hand is playing out. 15 seconds is usually enough for me to work out what i want to do, and never look back.

Except sometimes in hand discussion ;)

This is a very good example of the pot control you preach and I am rather surprised that you raised this turn here.

Did you do it expecting a fold?

Did you do it expecting to get stacks in?

What factor(s) determined your expectations (prior to the turn raise) and were they proven correct or otherwise?

Main reason for the raise was to get information about his hand. There are a lot of drawing type hands that would do a fairly weak play at the pot like this on the turn. In terms of Pot Control, if he had a lot of the drawing type hands, then yes i was expecting a fold. If he did have a hand, which felt unlikely to me at the time, then it was helping to get all the money in the middle.

The hand was played fairly badly as by the turn there wasn't a lot of info to be had about his hand. We could say strength, we could say over pair, we could say drawing hands, but not all are guaranteed we are truthfully just guessing.

Trying to get all the money in on the turn is a bad idea even if you think he somehow has a draw w/ no pair.

If he has a draw he's at the very least either betting/calling the river if either hits. I think the best time to get all the money is on the flop, because you didn't just settle for a cheaper fold or less value with the line taken.
