LMAO, so its Chinese and not Nigerians now....

But UN Compensation? FFS that is even more obvious than the Nigerian scam - but like all scams it must work to some degree, but who on earth would fall for that?

And I was wondering what has this to do with 888 or 888PL until Pete's post... make alittle more sense now.

Actually been wondering why there isnt more spam here, seems to have floodded just about every other forum I have been involved in at some point or another...

I got this email a few weeks back:

From: "Gene Gioia" <gene.gioia@gioiasystems.com>
To: <me>
Subject: real money account balance with RealDealPoker

Dear Aaron,

While we are in the process of reorganization of RealDealPoker and during our period of closure, we are required to clear all player balances. We are preparing checks this coming week for all players who have not yet withdrawn their funds. In preparing the list for mailing of the checks, I find that we do not have adequate address information to mail you a check for the 203.10 Euro account balance. Would you please reply to this email and provide me with the correct mailing address to send your check.

Thank you,
Gene

Cant spell cheque, but...
I had all but forgotten about it until Monday when I got a cheque in the post! :o :D :D :D
Never even deposited either! 8-)

PS: Thanks Scott or Dave, whoever it was that 1st brought this new poker site to the forum's attention... I owe you a beer
Anyone else ever try it out?

So you dont remember ages ago this (new) poker site called RealDeal being metioned here on the forum? Where instead of virtual cards they had developed a technology to shuffle real cards, and then take the order and digitize it? Even had the CO player 'cut' the deck each hand!

And also I am talking about the fact that its nice to get an email asking for your details to send you a cheque and then actually get one!
(the company is in the UK to, not US btw)

Nah, I shipped & cashed a few 100euro freerolls (~20 ftw iirc), then won more playing cash holdem and 7stud and a few HU SnG... I mention I never deposited in the first post...

I dont think they are closing for good, but the traffic there was pathetic, so they are probably going to do some more work on marketing.
Acording to the letter accompanying cheque, they say "During our temp closure we are required to payout all accounts with a balance over 5 euro"...
