Ishant's LBW decision balanced out the one at the end. Well played Laxman.

Gould's wrong decision doesn't make Bowden's less wrong.

Nor does it mean we can be less upset about it.

That was PLUMB.

As for the better team winning, I thought the better team was ahead in the first innings, and ahead until Laxman gutsed it out at the end.

Billy didn't give it as byes either, which implies he thinks it hit the bat

But in the fury of the appeal, the missed run out and the four overthrows, I think he actually forgot to signal it.

Who said Test cricket was dead? That has to be one of the best test series I have seen in a while. Both games went into the 5th day and both sides had their chances. Pity there wasn't any more matches scheduled. If you had to choose between 3 more India test matches or the Ashes which would you choose? I think I would like to see 3 more India games.

What about Sachin? He just keeps getting better and better. 400 runs in 2 matches. Well played sir.

the difference between the two sides is a quality spinner - hauritz taking 1 wicket and going for more than a run a ball on a 5th day indian pitch is just simply not good enough.

probably the best thing about australia is that even when they are significantly outclassed, like they have this series, they still put themselves in a position where they are competitive. i dare say australia would have won if they had warne or even mcgill today.

definitely agree that it should have been a 3 match series against india at least, but i am looking forward to the ashes

Australian should play a 4 or 5 match series against England, India and South Africa.

And a 2 or 3 match series against Pakistan, NZ, WI and Sri Lanka.

I love test cricket.

I'd rather watch ANY two countries play a test match than watch Australia play an ODI or T20 match.

And i'm loving where Australia are now. Obviouisly nowhere near the class and quality of the last 15 years, but we are rebuilding. We are vulnerable. I like watching, not knowing if we'll win as opposed to crushing everyone.

I wish we could substitute a bowler for the second innings. That way I would bring in Stuart Clark and take out Mitch; my god when he's off target it's like Kurt Tippet missing a goal.

That's been almost EVERY Aust/Ind series for the last ten years. They always play a brilliant series.

Brilliant.

Ponting is still my favourite of all time, and I prefer watching Lara - but Tendulkar is a freak. And a humble one at that.
