The online is the only way to make up points, but you need to have a game where you have over 100 players and still paying x5 muliplier.
If this could happen then may well balance out.

We had two online games which used to get 150 runners (capped ) , A2K & Murrins , A2K originally started @ 3pm (vic time) in season 1&2 last year .then was moved 3:30 & Murrins started @ 9pm . A2k no longer exists this season .

What i said on 1st page was if i had of done better online i would of made dream team ( in more than 1 season ) . Something that no longer concerns me ,
What concerns me now is too play good consistent poker

ps. Sunbury2 Nowhere in my last post did i say anything about the dream team needing to be changed

So you're happy with the current system, that regardless of how well you play you will never be able to finish in the top 5 of the dream team??

Demographically more accessible? I am not sure what you mean by that but the geographically most accessible area is Adelaide, there is always at least two games within a 20 minute drive for Adelaide players. Players in Werribee have access to two venues that operate, between them, 5 double headers between them.

G'day Garth & all 888pl Management ,

2 games in 1 night no chance of making points in both / 10 points to play freeroll & go out then play a cash game & maybe make points or just get your 10 for registering .
As it has been for a long time almost 2years now "longer than any other area ( us being the guinea pigs of the league )Werribee
Hoppers club / sunday 2 cash games , Monday 1 freeroll & 1 cash game , Tuesday the same
Tigers club 2 cash games , Thursday 1 freeroll & 1 cash game , Saturday 1 cash game
Laverton sunday 1 cash game .

We Had a lot more runners when all our nights were freerolls . H/C Sunday average 100+ ( up to 130) players , monday 70 , tue 80+
tigers thurs 110+( up to 140) runners & wed about 80+ . Check runners if you like .
Now Wed you get around 100 but only cash games for that night .
& our start time was 7:30p not 7:00 @ the H/C . To early for some.

Every other night has dropped off because of 1 REASON , That being , People playing stupid because they want to play the cash game . I have said this since the start . The cash game should start 1st the freeroll 2nd .
I know this has put a lot of regulars off & is still deterring more players from coming back .

How about 888pl start using QLD as new testing grounds
Why was it almost everything started @ my 2 clubs & no where else ?
Why do we play ANTES & have so for over a year & no where else does ?
Make every venue go through what we do @ the same time .

WE NO LONGER WANT TO BE THE TESTING GROUND FOR THINGS ( that may or may-not happen anywhere else )

Regards
[_]) cheers

Hi Harps,

Thanks for the feedback.

I think it will be best to use bullet points to answer this.

• Numbers in the West (Hoppers Club in particular) were struggling earlier in the year, so the “double-header” format was introduced. It has been like this for almost eight months
• Club Laverton is a foundation event
• For numerous reasons, Hoppers Club changed their start time to 7pm, whilst this doesn’t suit you, I know of several players who prefer this and the earlier finish it creates
• Werribee has never been a designated “testing ground”. Just this Monday I ran a “first of its kind” event at Bridge Hotel Mordialloc. We have a new format in Sunbury utilising an in-house final. We have partners’ events and teams events running up at Bendigo and Mildura respectively, and shootouts coming soon (details TBA). Venues in Caulfield and Cheltenham operate a $20 buy-in game with 1 passport. We even gave Omaha a run over in SA.
• Ever since seeing the success at Hoppers and Tigers we have long yearned to implement the double-header system elsewhere, and will now be starting the structure off at Moonee Legends tonight
• It has been made clear from day one, that all double headers would use Antes for the Deepstack first game, and has been like this for the past eight months (since implemented)
• The feedback we have received over the last eight months has been overwhelmingly positive in relation to the structures of the tournaments and the fact that we still offer our players both foundation and challenge games in the traditional 7/7.30 time slots

In short, we very much so appreciate all feedback we receive, but in this case we believe the system works.

I am sorry you don’t like the format.

I loved the partners event in Bendigo but unfortunately due to lack of numbers I think it has been canceled. Not sure why but our numbers as a whole in Bendigo seem to be decreasing with limited availability to earn decent points during the week. I do know that some of our players have been traveling to Hoppers chasing points and for larger fields. I hope now that the warmer months are coming around numbers may increase in our local venues as personally I don't have time to travel to bigger venues.

In consideration of the above an this thread I am considering the following:

One DREAM TEAM FINAL to be conducted per season to decide who the DREAM TEAM is; the Dream Team will comprise of three (3) players only who will share in $10,000 in tournament entries and will be placed in casino events around Australia.

To qualify for the DREAM TEAM FINAL you must:

1.) Win a Semi Final.
2.) Win a Grand Final
3.) Win a Wild Card Entry via an ONLINE promotion
4.) Place in the top 100 of the DREAM TEAM SCOREBOARD.

I think that alleviates most concerns doesn't it?

That sounds quite fair and achievable to most to qualify. The idea of having all qualifiers playing for the team spots is a great idea.

And there will be $10,000 in cash and prizes for the top 10 of the DT scoreboard.

I am liking this idea more and more.

Now to adjust the Home Game fixture and I am almost done.

That's a huge turnabout!

I am not 100% for it though. It's almost a different "team" or "list" all together.
I still like the idea of people grinding points to get IN to the dream team. The idea above means that what they do counts for very little, as it's all back to square one to see if they even get into it.

Whilst I think the scoring/ladder system needed tweaking, I did like the climb people had to take.
