No arguments there mate!!
As I said, this will be a great event, nothing wrong with a bit of friendly rivalry, as long as everyone can shake hands at the end of the day.
What?, poker without the river??, you've just made my dreams come true!!!

Whatever Miss Edith. You're name was actually passed to me as a good candidate but your attitude is just terrible. I have no idea why you need to make snide comments or remarks but it certainly does tarnish your reputation.
FYI - I am based in Melbourne, and if you didn't notice I wasn't at the teams event; so I had no idea who placed where until it was reported in here. All I knew was Mistress Poker finished fourth and then the APL team won overall.

Re: teams event post game thoughts
OK, my 2 cents now.
I am extremely dissapointed that it was so quick to turn into this "we're better than you BS".
The teams event on Sunday was played in the best of spirits and we saw great sportsmanship by ALL teams. The winning team congratulated the runners up teams and vice versa. There were no issues at the tables during the day even though there were 8 players all from different teams playing together. While there was rivalry with each & every team desperately wanting to win, it didn't turn into the crap we are reading right now.
It was nice that even though there was some friendly rivalry before the event that it was played with the integrity that I'm sure everyone would like these events played in.
How quick we are all to sink to an us and them mentality. How easy it is for people to sit behind a keyboard and throw this garbage around. When we were all face to face with each other on Sunday there was nothing but poker & a good time on everyone's mind.
I would hope that all parties can pull their heads in if we are ever to make future events like these work. I personally do not want to be part of an event where the reason to play is based on ego alone and the real reason we play poker comes a distant second.
Those that will be remembered and respected will be those that conduct themselves with the highest integrity & maturity & display the ability to be humble in victory or defeat. As for the rest, who cares.
