Yes. Still strong.
It obviously wouldn't get a mention in your papers over there, especially since the VFL was renamed to the AFL and the Crows/Power joined.
We average around 2500 people each game. Some are as log as 1500 and some are as high as 6000. Depends on many other factors.
I do, and will go to the SANFL finals - it's a great class of footy even if it's not as good as it was 20 years ago because of the AFL.

Re: AFL 2010
i love SANFL and follow it closely still.
being a central districts fan, there has been plenty to cheer about lately too.
i used to go to prolly 6 or 8 games a year, but now i only really get out for the finals game.
i can tell you that the SANFL has been its strongest in years, probably since the entrance of adelaide into the AFL - going really well over here.
of course the coverage isn't as great as it used to be (pre afl), but i get the feeling it still means a lot more to south australians than the vfl does to victorians
its probably a lot to do with the fact that the crows were a conglomerate team, so everyone could still have 2 teams
edit: yep. dave pretty much said it.
some of the biggest friday night games at norwood will get upwards of 8000 on a really big night

Stick with poker. Less injuries.
Except when you call and get a small child thrown at you.
