thats not casting dispersions on the teachers out there, but the fact is that the standards of entry are incredibly low, and teaching is seen by many people as a fallback degree, which is obviously silly. but thats the way it is.

That's just really sad. Fix the culture, fix the problem.

Is that an answer to Trishan's post benny the cunt?
If so, I don't think that's the reason at all.

The standard of teaching degree entry has nothing to do with the way students respect or disrespect their teachers.

It's got to start at home macca. Parents need to take more responsibility. Do you think that societal wealth has anything to do with it? Parents in 3rd world countries value education more highly and instill this their kids?

i think teaching is seen as a lazy profession. really, with the exception of my bro, every other person that i knew from my school studying teaching were slackers and only did it because it was the only course they can get into.

i think in a lot of respects this culture permeates through. there are not enough people like matthew, who clearly have a passion for it, rather than doing the job for the holidays or because they couldn't get into anything else.

this is my perception

It's happened year to year - decade to decade.

In the 2000s, kids get away with more than the 1990s
And in the 1990s, they get away with more than in the 1980s

It's a gradual change with the culture.
For what it's worth, I think the positive changes in the Australian culture over the last 40 years has had a slightly negative affect on school behaviour.

I absolutely agree trishan.

i havent met a disruptive kid from a good family yet.

Also, we have a few immigrant families here in Waikerie and what you said about families from different cultures is 100% correct.
