Pundies, I'm all for helping people, but people need to want to help themselves too.

Why would I want my opponent to play better? If I can beat them, why would I help them?

What the hell is wrong with you guys today?

This thread is harmless and fine; there is no talk about helping players improve, rather than just increasing their awareness of the use of pleasantries and the ettiquette of online play.

It was never about helping players to play better, it's about helping them understand when a hand is well played and when it isn't. And the fact the NH is used way too much in situations it wouldn't.

It's not a huge issue and it's a minor grievance, but it is allowed to be voiced.

So pull your heads in and perhaps read the OP and digest what this thread should be about before spouting garbage.

i agree with pundies here

maccatak and bacon and acelosesking are stoopid heads

nothing tilts me more than some idiot snapping off my all in with 33 or 67 and beating my aces, and then the tards say nh to him.

in fact i am getting tilted just thinking about it

When A 5 off beats my K K with my huge pre flop raise, it's not a 'NH'. LOL.

:)

It IS rather annoying, I agree!

I even find it a little disrespectful.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

the way 'NH' gets thrown around is ridiculous and although i always try to reply with a 'TY' when my short stack shove gets lucky sometimes im too busy laughing to... some people use it way too much and for the wrong reasons!

personally, a 'WP' from a respected opponent means sooooo much more...
I respect the poker gods, I think that's why they are nice to me!!!

Surely you would like to be playing in a tournament where your opponent doesn't think that A5 off is a really good hand? This thread isn't about making your opponents play better (telling them how to play hands).

Personally I play much better tournament poker when the skill level is higher on the table. I can get reads easier & really stick to my range. In 888pl games I have to make adjustments for all the A5's I run into :)

I am guilty of the TY also from time to time when a short stack shove gets lucky, so I probably have encouraged misplaced (IMO) compliments more times than I should have. Its just a 'be polite & nice' relflex that I have! Agree'd a WP from a respected opponent has more meaning.

Thanks to all those who seem to get where I was coming from. Certainly not trying to change the worlds view on poker. Just airing a small irritation that I have when I play 888pl compared to other poker I play, nice to see others feel the same :)
