one of my fave hands, which I like more and more everytime I play it, is 9 10 (doesn't even have to be suited).
Final table tonight at the Bremen, there's a player allin before me - with myself being allin to call - and I have 9 10. I was also positive the next player after me was going to call.
The ONLY reason I didn't play it was because I put the original alliner on a high pocket pair and the guy after me I placed on 2 high cards with one most likely an ace (he was reaching for his chips quicksmart after having a very quick look at his cards).
So I folded, hoping one would get knocked out.
NUP!
The guy after me ended up with a flush but he was the shorter of the 2 stacks so no1 got knocked out.
I can't remember all the cards on the table but most of it was 10 10 6 6. Woulda had a boat.
Instantly started hating myself
Was probably the turning point at the final table for me too, would have had a very decent stack and been in a much better position to go on and win. Ended up in 3rd.
