A question.

Postby AceLosesKing » Fri Feb 22, 2008 2:11 am

Barossa Gawler
Regional Final - $1000 (Top 150 on the regional Leaderboard will qualify)
1st $350
2nd $200
3rd $150
4th $100
5th $50
6th $50
7th $50
8th $50

With 3 weeks left in the season, there are 34 players (under the recently implemented average system) on the B&G leaderboard.

Now.

I fail to see that in 3 weeks we will have hit 150, let alone 100. Will the top 150 be decided by the average system, or total points? (which had something like 100, probably more). If we hit under 150 will the tourny be cancelled? Is there a topic somewhere that answers all my questions already?

Not sure about this one.

I'm sure Garth or Matty will get on here and answer all questions though.

Anyway, as long as you've qualified I'd be happy with less players lol.

i would assume that the tournament just starts with less than 150 runners.

looking pretty good for the cash is there is only 60 or so that qualify - almost like a normal tourney out this way.

but i suppose its supporting the multivenue players.
And if there is only 60 runners this season, but heaps of people that have played 12 games, then next season, these players will also want to get their slice of that money.

Exactly :)

Yeah, but if it took 7 weeks for 34 runners to hit 15 games, I doubt we'll have more than 70 at the end of the season.

yeah but how many do you think will have go to about 8-10 games in the first 7 weeks and will easily be able to rack up the difference to 15 games in the last few weeks? especially when putting in that effort will pretty much guarentee them entry into the regional final.

for every person who has been playing 3 games a week (and so have already made the leaderboard) there would be a lot more who play 1 or 2 each week and will step it up in the last few weeks to qualify.

As far as i believe, those who dont make the 15 games wont qualify so numbers could be lower than 150, but as bob said there are plenty players who require just a couple more games. after all it only takes one and half games a week to qualify. Im sure we may see some last week scrambling to get games up, Either way cant wait to run this game its going to be an awesome day or night.

I realise that there's still a myriad of players stuck on 8-14 games, but I still think we won't get over 70. Ok, 80.

If we get 150 or 15, its still gonna be an awesome day. Just hoping its not on a Saturday because I can't go... I think it'll be the day before State Finals though, (29th) which sucks.

At this point in time I am pushing for Friday 21st March. I can only suggest tho. Am in no way responsible for the final decision. Should know soon.

Cheers
