raw comedy

Postby todd182 » Sun Feb 17, 2008 3:26 pm

hi everyone just thought i'd let everyone here know that i'm taking part in raw comedy this year, not only am i taking part in australia number stand up contest but i actually won my first heat at the rhino room last wednesday. i'm though to the semi-finals at PJ O'Briens on east terrace on march 4th at 9.30, tickets $15. i don't expect anyone to come but if you would like to see my heat you can youtube raw comedy and just look for todd gray. i'd like some feedback beofre my semi. thanks

the only downside is this is stuffing up my poker season good but a small price to pay.

YouTubing now...

I'm confident you'll do well Todd, you always had the personality and humour to succeed as a comedian.

Everyone can check out Todd here.

Nice debut Toddy, you had some good jokes in there. Gave me a few chuckles.

Think you might want to avoid the laughter is the best medicine gag.
Have heard it too many times. Wil Anderson, Robin Williams a few others.

The Orphan in the reject shop was good.

Going with the offensive/crude jokes seem to work for you. Thought it was very good overall.

When you make it into the finals, there will be one victorian in the crowd going i knew him before he was famous. :-)

Good Luck Todd.

well done todd, it was pretty funny. german shepherd joke was hilarious.

i reckon that osama jokes are fairly well worn and behind the times though, but the joke still worked, and it was still pretty funny.

PS osama would say "i swear to allah" not god. :D

overall very good mate, well done. keep it up

Yeah the Osama jokes were in my opinion, stale. Too easy a target. The virgin bit at the start worked well, though. You can't rely on that every week, however.

All in all great for a virgin :D
