Crown Cash Conundrum 2

Postby gmatical » Tue Mar 15, 2011 9:39 pm

$1/$2 Crown Cash table (obv :))

I was not involved in this hand, but had discussions about it afterwards with the player and wanted to hear others thoughts on it.

For the example tho, the other player will be called US, as it is their play I want thoughts on.

US UTG Fairly inactive player, 30 mins in to the session, hardly played a hand. $70ish
LP (cut off maybe) the old guy from other hand discussion post $100ish
BB (im pretty sure he was a blind, may have been SB, def EP- quite active, liked seeing flops, pushed the action with decent hands and draws $200ish

US (Ad 10d) limps
LP limps
BB limps

Flop 10h 2d 4h

BB bets $7
US Calls $7
LP raises to $15
BB shoves $170ish
US ????

What to do with Top pair Top Kicker with an unlikely runner runner flush draw?

What do we make of the action of the BB's shove?
May all your pain be champagne!

in this one we should have folded pre
inactive means passive here obv, as we should be raising flop too imo.
as played its an easy fold i think. always better spots without specific reads that the shover is a maniac.

play pre flop so badly and these spots will continue to find you, pre flop is a tool that can be used to help asertain ranges etc, but not if you limp then just call the flop

you asked what we should do

i think we should not to play the hand like this
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Get off the table, go play $2/$3+ and stop playing so bad. That would be my advice to "US".

Now for this hand it's a snap fold. Watch LP call with either a SD, FD or both and BB roll 104,102, 42, 44 or 22.

If they are shoving with worse than that I would like their contact details so I can invite them to my home game.

What on earth is going on to be limping UTG with ATs?

expecting to be raised and planning a re-raise?
just not aware of position or the odds of actually flopping a flush?

I honestly stopped reading after I read "limp". Terribad.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
