Hi all.
Thanks to Michael "Ma-Jik" Majchrzak inspiring me I've decided it was time to get a new phone (with a much better camera) so thought I'd start showing you guys a pictorial of a few venues around the traps. (at least now Rayni will stop telling me I've got a "girls" phone!!)
First cab off the rank is the PGCC (Parafield Gardens Community Club) Wednesday 6.30rego /7.30start & Sunday 1.00rego /2.00start
This place has a huge open area perfect for poker. 10 seater tables are nicely spread out so you have enough breathing room to play and the "big screen" has almost entirely eliminated the "what are blinds?" question!
The PGCC has 4 bars, gaming area, outdoor area and a huge restaurant area right near the poker zone. The meals are great and very well priced. If you spend about $11 you can become a member & receive further discounts off your meals & drinks. Pretty much pays for itself after a couple of poker games filling your passports.
This would have to be one of my favourite venues to host. Why?The people are fantastic!! We get a lot of regular players at Parafield and each & every one of them is a character!! You can't help but leave the place with a smile on your face at the end of the night.
Bob Bermingham in all his glory!!

Parafield Gardens Community Club Pt#2
Some more photos from Wednesday 14/2/08 @ Parafield Gardens CC.
Below from L-R, T-B.
Sarah P, Sou R, Jerry I (notice Sou is all in...as usual)
"Marky" Mark Parkin ready for rego
Inthan looking rather smug after his victory last night.
Bounn, Bob B, Mark A, Sammi, Rhys & others.
PGCC setup & ready to roll
Corey C, Erin B, Alan S & Reth running late for rego!!! Made it with 11 seconds to spare.
Deano K, Luke, Alan D, Steve, Allen M, Stumpy (aka ButtPlug) & others.
Rebecca, Chris E, Graham Q, Shaun C, Josh I, Jasmine J, Beau & others.
The Last word: If you're looking for a game in the North East on a Wednesday night or Sunday arvo then this is the place to play. Great people, great food, great atmosphere & $3 per stamp. A 300 piece chipset for the winner every game is also a great deal. So come down and see myself & Mark every Wednesday night & Dakota on Sunday afternoons for a heap of fun & some great poker.
***Don't forget: Refer a friend this Feb. Get a bonus 500 chip for you & your friend when they sign up for the first time with the NPL***
May the flop be with you all,
Cheers,
Tim

Yep, more reviews of NPL venues would be great. Hell, give me a camera next Wednesday and the venue leader will do one himself.

Re: Parafield Gardens Community Club Pt#1
i wish i could bring back the feeling of season 1 when i was thrashing the venue, and every other table would fill up first before the one i was sitting on.
those were the days when i could play poker (sobs).
