Waikerie Club, Sun Dec 12th, 1k Guarantee

Hey guys.

Im sure Toddy Rivers would something about this in time, but im bloody pumped for this, so ill start a thread now.

On Sunday 12th December there is going to be a $10 buy in, 1k ADDED (i believe) game at the Waikerie club, starting at 12 noon (rego from 11am) with a deepstack structure.

This should be awesome. Obviously this will be supported well by Riverland players, but it would be great to get a few car loads coming up from Barossa/Gawler/Adelaide as well. Its only 80 minutes from Gawler after all.

If we can get enough numbers there will be a cashie at my house (or maybe even a tournament) on the saturday night for those interested. Nothing stopping people making a weekend of this event, especially seeing as the Berri Deepstack no longer exists.

I have just heard about this from Jason, who is the regular TD at the Waikerie Club, and occasionally at the Waikerie Hotel. Hope i haven't got anybody in trouble.

its already advertised all over the waikerie club by way of posters and advertising
so i dont think macca has done anything wrong here

just spreading the advertising a bit further is all

look foward to hearing if this goes ahead and seeing all the townies attend if it does

I was just being positive here, as its not often that a venue puts up $1k of their own cash for a game in the country, but i guess Todd doesn't want to support such an event that will be good for his own region. Poor form Toddy.

Hi Macca, just kidding mate. Im stoked that you're pumped about it and i'm glad you are trying to get more players and i'd love them to come. I'll even stay for your home game after.

That means that i make these announcements WHEN things are right at my end.
I LOVE that Neville is being pro-active about it, and we have agreed there will be $1,000 guaranteed FIRST PRIZE.
buuuuuut, i have to notify H/O, Neville has to sign forms, websites and databases need to be adjusted/uploaded and BEFORE these things go public.
So even though your information IS CORRECT in this case, its not your information to release. Having said that....
I think you and the Waikerie boys, and not just the forums ones, are all mong...i mean great poker players and you guys truly embody what 888 players all should be like, that is , there for a game you love, a contest, and to be social. And i know that you guys mostly only go now for the social side, whgich is why i understand why you get pumped at the thought of some 'real' competition at poker, not just the same 30 players you know inside out I also look forward to DEC 12th
