SA Season 2 $30,000 Semi Final Live Reporting

Postby Garth Kay » Sun Aug 01, 2010 9:34 am

Morning All,

It is now 9am local time and the 888PL team is all prep'd and ready to go; rego has just been opened and both rooms are prepared for all the action.

The 888PL management team have varying predictions on field size for today's event; from 420 all the way to 560. Personally I'm expecting 481.

This will also be the first time a Semi Final has commenced with a 10K start stack (previously 5k tops) and 30 minute blinds, so we will definitely see some deepstacked action in the early and mid stages of this tournaments.

There are 49 tables set up in the main hall upstairs and a further 20 tables downstairs to provide for the overflow.

Keep up to date today here and on our Facebook page!

Photo's will be provided as well as soon as I get Norwoods camera software to work!

All the best to all of our qualifiers today!

First break - Lunch

483 runners in total. After the break we will return to a fully consolidated room and all remaining players will be playing upstairs.

We will have 386 players remaining when we return from the break.

AVG stack is now 12,500

The bars have run out of food so we will be more than likely extending the lunch break by a further 20 minutes.

KLEEMAN CLIMBS THE CHIP LADDER

On AK's table we find UTG +1 open shoving for 48K, AK isolates by re shoving.

UTG +1 = AJ
AK = QQ

The board bricks out with 4x, 6x, 8x, 9x, 4x and Coleman ships a 120K pot to move up over 200,000 in chips.

Blinds have just increased to 5000/10000 w 1000 ante.
