Has anyone noticed lately the ammount of people who are registering to the online games, and not play them. For example...
Just over the last 2 or 3 days I've sat on some tables where Mon 12.00 (11.30sa) game, I sat on a table where we had 2/9 playing. Today alone in the pre-game stretch was on a table with only 3/10 playing, and again tonight was short stack (not enough for a big blind) and got knocked out by someone who wasn't actually there playing, if I lose fair enough, but losing too someone who isn't playn, is plain and simply wrong in my book.
I really hope 888pl can look at this issue and reduce the size of the games, or even shorten the rego time, or both too fix this problem.
Don't know if this is me having another whinge or if other people have noticed this as well.
Cheers!

not that I play much, but I do know this has been fairly extensively canvassed and it might pay to use the search function to read some of the discussions around it

Registration period will be brought back to 1 hour, I believe.

not stupid at all
the rego time was 3 hours, and for some reason at the end of the season all of the games got cleared, and now they are back to a 5 hour rego time.
1 hour would be great, basically guaranteed no dead stacks

your probably not going alleviate this problem all together, cause it is freeroll poker, but it'll (1 hour rego) definantly help with the deadstacks!

I suggest open registration 30min before 5/3/1 hour is far too long.
Do a trail run the early freeroll at 30min and the late one at an hour, and see what the results show.

Just a quick point about the late games.
tonight i went to dinner at my mothers, got home at 9. Went online to register as i knew i would play. reigistered players 198. This is 1:30 before it starts.
right now we are playing a 10 handed table, with only 3 players.
Many a time ive come on an hour early with no doubt i would play and rego is full. Then only to find that half the players are dead stacks

Personally, im getting sick of the complaints about dead stacks. It can only be +ev to have 7 out of 10 players folding everyhand. Even blinds.
So instead of whinging about it. Take advantage.

its not +EV at all because you dont have an opportunity to ever double up, which is where good players can apply their edge - i.e getting a bit stack and use it.
