Venues + Movember

Postby andy_thomas » Wed Nov 21, 2007 3:13 pm

Does anyone know of any venues doing anything for Movember as part of their poker promotions?

Yes...Matt from the Palais is sporting a Mo

I saw some charity related mention of Movember on a notice on the bar. I don't think they've tied it to the poker but they're at least getting in the spirit :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

We approached the Movember foundation with a plan to support them and incorporate our members base and run special tournaments.
Unfortunately Beyond Blue is a partner of this foundation, and as NPL are deemed by this company to encourage gambling we were told that unfortunately we cannot be seeing to work together. I think you will find very similar circumstances with licensed venues.

ahh, that's a shame. i thought the whole 'gambling' theme went out the window because it's free entry, making it more of a hobby ala chess.

pete: darren is sporting a nice chopper mo as well :D

For the North East suburbs, I'am supporting men's issues, and creating awareness while out and about on my venues. That's right i'm a Mo Bro!

Sometimes it's not always about money, but rather showing support in the little ways that count.

P.S I thank anyone who has supported Movember.
