Garth and Regional Operators,
Do you know of any changes, additions or removals for venues next season?

Re: Venues next season
I've heard rumours that the Willaston might be starting up on Monday nights (Barossa/Gawler). Don't know if I'm allowed to mention that though.
But that would be totally awesome!
Edit: Well there you go.

also heard that, probably from the same source that we aren't disclosing but is probably pretty easy to work out

Re: Venues next season
Suggestions for more Gawler NPL:
- Monday nights, Willaston.
- Tuesday nights - Criterion, Bushies (my pick!), Southern, Terminus. And I'm probably forgetting a few others.
Frankly I think a Tues game should be started straightaway, that way you haven't got any competition in the region (like Nuri vs Willo on a Monday would bring up). NPL are always saying how they want more runners for the regional finals - give us a Tuesday night game with a similar stamp policy to the rest of Gawler, and you'll see 50 runners a week, maybe more.

Tanunda Hotel Mate!!!
but yeah more games that i won't go to would be good
i think the southern would be good. maybe upstairs at the gawler arms as well, that is a massive area - nearly state finals worthy, but not quite

I second that motion - the Gawler Arms would be awesome. Great big area, and its so nice there. Great service and food too. NPL, get on this!
The Southern actually held A.P.L last season, but dropped them after one season - that might deter them from hosting poker again. They had an excellent stamp system going too - for the first 5 weeks or so

Re: Venues next season
I'd like to think that the Brahma Lodge boys will get a fair crack at keeping their Wednesday night venue for the coming season.
I was told they were asked to change to Tuesday night!!!!! No a really good idea as most of the guys and gals play at the Pooraka Football Club on Tuesday so they'd lose most of their punters.
Apparently, one or more of the other Wednesday night venues may have got their noses out of joint and thought they had lost a heap of their regular players. Not so, as far as I'm concerned.
Surely they can see that some of us including myself who were desperately trying to hit a top five position had a chance there as they only had 5 tourneys before the end of the season.
I usually play at the Gardens and there may have been 6 or 8 of us from there who took a punt on playing there because of the above reasons. Having said that, I did notice quite a few guys from Para Hills and Pooraka.
And since the closing of some of the other venues near by, such as the Summer Set etc, I have notice a heap of players who I haven't seen before.
I did a little survey and found that most people liked it there because Joe & Tony listened to the punters with their stamping, food, and drink prices, prize money for placings and it was close to home and a chance to hit the top five.
Some came there because they weren't happy with their other venue due to stamping and quality of the food.
They Joe & Tony, also took it upon themselves to put out free chips (hot) and Pizzas for the punters on the last break. No real dramas as they were hungry too and thought it was a good gesture towards the punters.
So, will I continue to support the Brahma boys after this week or will I return to the Gardens???????? I haven't decided as yet.
This place is huge and would easily hold an end of season finals.
