Quick question for NPL Ops, how is Top 5 at a venue determined? I've taken a guess that one of the following algorithms is used.
Method 1
-Remove all Top 50 players, all players are moved up
-Look at all players 1st at each venues, remove these people from other leaderboards, and move all other players up
-Check 1st places again for people who have moved up, remove these people from other leaderboards (continue this step until no more are removed)
-Now look at 2nd places in the same fashion, then 3rd, then 4th, then 5th
Method 2
-If a player belongs to the Top 50, remove them from all venue leaderboards (don't move players up yet)
-Look at each player, and remove them from all leaderboards except their highest placing (don't move players up yet)
-The top 5 is determined by the top 5 players remaining in each leaderboard
For the following leaderboards, who do you think qualifies?
1 Emma Sparks 50.5
2 Simon Glassenbu 46
3 Jamie Deans 43.75
4 Scott Pezy-Jame 42.75
5 Kelly Norwood 42.75
6 Lee Norwood 42.5
7 Sarah Egege 36.5
8 Jarrod Finch 35
9 Nicholas Ash 33.25
10 Warren Anderson 28
1 Scott Pezy-Jame 193.8
2 Simon Glassenbu 178.6
3 Brice Mitchell 169.9
4 Harvey Fernande 141.35
5 Jamie Deans 141
6 Lee Norwood 138.05
7 Emma Sparks 137.7
8 Steven Johnson 134.1
9 Stephen Crotty 133.85
10 Jarrod Finch 107.7

Just found

and reading to see if this has been answered already.
I understand the rules that are applied, just not the order and implementation of the algorithm.

I know it can be confusing Brice.
For example, if you have two 5th places at two venues, you take the highest scoring one.
But if someone from the lower scoring venue is in the top 50, or higher somewhere else, they are removed meaning your lower score then goes up one place, and you get in via that.

By the way, not saying I'm right. Just hard to interpret.
I guess what you're asking, in another way, is if you are say 5th at one venue and 6th at another, then you can NOT qualify with the 6th, no matter how much you move up?
If you are 6th, and everyone above you is in the top 50.. then you would qualify through the other venue where you are 5th, without modifications.

I'm not sure he is right with number 1. It could be.
I don't envy having to work it out.
