I do not like to get involved in anything gmatical does, he is his own person. But I know gmatical very well and often on this forum he is taken the completely wrong the wrong way and the description of his character can be way off. I don't agree everything he says all the time and will tell him so, but around here is often there is a case of he is giving as good as gets. That is just my 2 cents.

Accepted and taken on board. Last comment was not warranted though.

G'day Garth , to the above ,
I have not seen him @ any of my venues since his return . So i could only ask other members of my venues or TD's if he has changed . & that would be hearsay .

Indecision; I don't think so Glenn.

We made a management decision, two players voiced their opinion and requested that their 888PL peers have a say on this matter and I have proceeded to allow this.

Now decision has been overturned.

I'm sorry mate, but I have no idea what your issue is or why you have to be so antagonistic at times but the only reason I have persevered with your continued veiled insults and outright derogatory comments is because several respected players (whose company and opinions I enjoy and respect) have vouched for you.

Really?

I have never 'insulted' anyone who hasn't given me grief first - i don't cry to mods when I am called a 'lunch box hero' (i think it was) etc.

I don't insult you either - but your 'thinly veiled' embarrassment at 888pl play standards and hand discussion is just as negative as some of the comments i mke.

Some of my comments are not helpful - but stuff like that cracks me up - and perhaps others also find it funny - or not, humour is a funny thing.

Don't be influenced by people who support and 'vouch' for me OR be influenced by those that are unhappy with me - if you really really think my input deserves a ban - then i am fine with that

But what sort of a forum is this, or is this becoming?

I CONTRIBUTE to this forum, in hand discussion,(and if 888 had better hand histories i would post plenty more of my hands for input / critique), i take an interest in some of the other threads to, i post stupid pictures for a bit of a laugh, i may step out of line on occasion too - but it is never with venom or malice - I also defend posters that get bagged on a bit by regs (including yourself).

See y'all in a month ey?

Nah, that ain't right, if i see something that is worth my comment - i will comment. Feel free to remove my post if you wish - or ban me.

Peace Out

P.s. Back to the insult/bannning discussion - i dont want to hijack it, just slipped my ITT quip in for giggles
May all your pain be champagne!

I do agree with that!

Sense of humours are funny things. We all come at things from different perspectives, in person it does not as often create issues. But on the internet (forums especially), intentions are sometimes hard to see and therefore can sometimes be interpreted incorrectly.

I don;t think it deserves a ban, I do think you need to consider sometimes the way you come across. As did I after your comments to me the other day.

I understand tone of comment can be misconstrued, and if you were trying to lighten the thread up then your timing was perhaps off.

And yes, calling me indecisive is an insult. Most of the managers, employees and players on this forum and of this league will commend me on the ability to make quick, decisive decisions.

I am not embarrassed by the level of play I see in 888PL. I completely understand that pub poker players (in general) are anywhere near the calibre of most professionals as well as most on this forum. What does frustrate me is the constant round about discussion and lack of appreciation or respect of views.

Personally (most of the time) I appreciate what you bring to this forum, but like me, you are there is an air of arrogance about your posts and most times you will not budge on your views or concepts. Which is fine and you have every right to, but it still bugs me that you think my comments hold very little merit for yourself and other 888PL individuals.

The truth be told, I watch most of you get bogged down in discussing things that shouldn't require that volume of discussion and instead you should be looking at another angle or actually trying to expand the thought process to level 3 or level 4.

As I have said previously, I respect your game and your thoughts, but you are really pushing the bounds of common decency and respect with some of your posts. Especially in a thread that I have started, requesting feedback from our player base.

I like you Glenn LOL

You're the only one who laughs at my lame jokes and I am probably one of the few who laughs at some of your work.

I am often misunderstood too online and it's partly because what pundies suggested: the difficulty in expressing yourself through words. Some will see a comment as an insult when you really intended no harm. Some will see a comment as arrogant or sarcastic or antagonising when you didn't mean for it to be so. Just a problem with the online media.

In forums like these it's sometimes hard to see where we draw the line between serious stuff and avin' a larf, at least for me anyway which is why I always find myself in awkward spots.

Edit: I also like you too Garth even though we knock heads lot!

I was there Jo he meant what he said to the other player . Every night you would hear him carrying on & swearing @ others players .

Ok, if you were there to witness it, and it was not said jokingly, then that is way different....

It was said 100% in jest. The player that the comment was aimed at is a friend of mine and was DJ/MC at my wedding and I can categorically say he was laughing his a$$ off when this "abuse" took place. The humour was replaced by a little bit of remorse when he found out I had suspended Player A for a period of time.

It was a little severe, but when a player is on probation and told he has no chances/excuses/warnings THEN proceeds to swear loudly in front of a TC (for the record: yours truly) the consequences will be severe.

I don't think that should make a difference if it was loud enough for the whole table to hear.

I am against bad launguage being used when playing poker. My venue has a group of young guys that come in to play, drink alot of beer and all night on the table to each other its, you C*** this and you C*** that. All said in jest, its just what they call each other. But personally I really don't like it, actually spoils the game for me abit.

There is a time and place for bad language and IMO at the live poker table or in the chat box is not it, ever.....no excuse. It is just terrible etiquette.

Exactly why a 3 month suspension was issued and the player in question was removed from the qualifiers list for the Vic Semi Final that quarter.
