direct buyins are fine some people don't play enough games to even have the chance of winning 1

If the only tickets available are those that have been "won", the value the tickets being sold privately would go up.

Discuss.... (or not!!)

Yep, they would be worth $500 then....

All depends on your commitment to play in the event there Luke, and if they want to buy in directly, they can still do that by buying someone's spare ticket....

(and you would still need to meet the minimum number of 888pl games to be allowed to play)....

And then those people who have played well enough to secure multiple tickets, have the opportunity to sell them for their true value of $500-, rather than getting approx $250- which seems to be the current "market rate".

yeah i don't think limiting the amount of tickets is a good idea for 888pl who want to make the prize pools as big as possible by having lots and lots of runners.

Yeah, but we have 6 months until the next GF to get say 600 runners, or generate a 600 x $500 prize pool. I don't see a problem with gettting that done running multiple satellites. And if it is "capped" (or at least limited to tickets won from satellites), those satellites will be more popular and competitive, and this will generate more tickets by itself...

maybe we should start a new thread is we are discussing the merits of direct buy ins or not, but

i dont think there is a problem with direct buy ins - the more the better (as long as they have played their away game quota), but i don't think its an issue overall. If anything it will increase the standard or play, which is only a good thing (players will only direct buy in if they think they have a decent chance of cashing).
