todd and others

what if you were in the same spot, and you had AK, and there was one other player, and you knew that they had AQ, so you are only racing 1 player.

would you call then?

No, its the same situation really.

I can still go home empty handed.

When there is no longer a bubble, i go crazy. ;)

Maybe i set the scene wrong earlier.

Its not if im THE short stack, with a BB coming up - thats an easy call- but say im 25th of 31 and cash starts at 30, then i wait.

benny the cunt a double up or triple up in this instance doesnt guarantee you final table from here. A lot of the time, the money between bubble and final table isnt much of a jump.

Say you're in the WSOP Main Event (one day baby, one day!), and money starts at 600th, which is double your 10k back.

This scenario arises, i fold.
I would rather finish 599th and have the cash to come back the next two years.

cashing every time, but making say 180 from your 100 buyin

or not cashing 5 in 6 times, but that 6th time you run really deep and make final table

i would suggest that you dont make a really really good ROI unless you run deep - and you are never going to do that unless you take your opportunities when you get them.

so unless it was a satellite seat on the line, i would cross my fingers and shove all my chips in there.

ill just run it in poker stove AA against 3 other players

if i assume that the other players are shoving with any 2 random cards, then aces are approx 64% against 3 other players

(in fact, i just ran it with the other players only playing top 10% of hands, and the result is much the same)

so, its 64% chance of massive stack and basically final tabling, or 100% chance of getting an early cash

i know which one i am taking, and its not the early cash

So the benny the cunt Jam is calculated at at a 64% or better rate of winning.

that probably explains your win/place/earnings performance benny the cunt. dont think its even as good as 64%.

bruce, i am not even going to dignify this with a comment - you are obviously not willing to learn about poker and improve your game, so why even come on the forum

why ruin a healthy debate with your dumb crap like this?

ok, so i guess what you are saying is, if you are short stacked, its an instacall, and if you are big stacked its also an instacall.

if you are in the middle of all chipstacks, and a triple up also keeps you in the middle - say it moves you up from 25/31 to 15/31, then you would rather fold.

i see the merits in this, although i still don't know whether i could bring myself to folding aces. kings probably, but aces, i dont think i am good enough to fold them :P
