you'll get fat with all that stuff under your skin Eraser. you need to control your temper and find a quality establishment where you could make points regularly - might I suggest some Pennington poker extravaganzas? They'll be glad to have you, maybe

Ok i'll rant. Remember when I said I'll go to the same place every week? Shags WAS that place. It had the huge screen with footy on it and music, and all those little fake books in that bookshelf. A pool table. It was the Gemma Atkinson of npl venues, the complete package. It was probably after a pint of Guinness that a man in a red button up shirt closed it down. Then the Dublin opened up with numbers low enough to justify playing on a friday, err no, the same man, who was now drinking holdfast dark ale, wanted to shut that down too. By this time it was too late to try and salvage points from bigger venues so I've just been tagging along with the other stationary items to see if I could fluke a win. The Palais, where you've been taking me sometimes, is just a big bland room with a huge screen which is used for showing the time, when I could be watching..i dunno, Australian pardon the interruption on espn. That gets under my skin. lol

Matt Porter wrote:Ahhh, Mr Eraser. Is it being implied that you have qualified for state finals by playing the 1 event of the season at a certain Irish Bar somewhere in the SW? Have you confirmed this with anyone? I'm not sure that 1 week constitutes a regular qualifying period?

1... Well blame that new poker league, of which i shall not speak, for closing down a good NPL venue..

Incorrect apportioning of blame.

dont be so sure matt

i qualified last season by coming 3rd at the waikerie club on the one night of the season we played on a monday instead of a tuesday, the computer took it as a seperate season and the top 5 from that 1 night all got an invite.
none of us actually went though as it didnt seem fair
did get it verified though and i was welcome to attend just chose not too.
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

As if knock the Palais!

Magnificent venue I'll have you know.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
