Due to the confusion over this matter we will more than likely overlook the minimum away game qualification for this season's finals.

Commencing 2010 we will have our complete T and C's listed on the website, a completely revised Home Game Fixture and more than likely a weightings of points which will slightly favour in venue play. Be aware that any drastic changes made to our competition will be communicated predominately by Member Fliers at venue, TC communication in opening spiel, Player emails and news stories or announcement on the website.

But we have found that for the majority of players the best way to communicate mass changes is via the flier, something that has everything written down and that can be kept on the person to be reviewed later.

Obviously if you are still requesting a flow chart Pete you haven't picked up a flier or a new member pack from in venue?

I haven't been in a venue this season and I'm not about to.

I fairly sure I said that in my earlier post.

Reagrdless of what the case is or isn't in terms of what you will accept at this point in time.....

Finishing in top 5 of a home challenge scoreboard doesn't qualify for the challenge semi final?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

from the 888pl webiste

Code: Select all

To qualify for this event, just play your regular Challenge Home (Online) or Away (In Venue) event, accumulate points throughout the season, and finish inside the top five (5) of that event's particular seasonal leader board.

I'm sitting top 5 in a couple of the Tuesday night Home scoreboards.

I have no intention of playing any away games this season (because I basically can't).

What does top 5 on those scoreboards actually qualify me for?
Do I "need" to play any away games? Fair warning: Be prepared for a massive spew if the answer is yes.

No away games = no information pack. Put it in a flow chart please.

How have I got two different answers to this then?

Garth, wtf is going on?

Ah, I know why.

I didn't specify Challenge scoreboard in my first question.

Garth did not specify Foundation in his answer.

I can see how this gets so confusing for people.

It's a simple question that can be taken two different ways.

Both answers are simple as long as the original question is clear enough to the person answering it.

So if you were top 5 of an online foundation leaderboard, you would need to play 10 away games, but if you were top 5 on a challenge leaderboard online, you wouldn't need to play 10 away games?

Why the difference? Obviously people are paying to play challenge games online, but this money doesnt go to venues or to 888pl. 10 away games should be mandatory for qualification into all finals (semi or grand), but this could have been communicated in a better way to the players i reckon.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

How is everyone so confused?

I have re read my posts and where I need to specify Foundation and Challenge I have, but in the case of ALL Finals (Challenge Semi, Foundation Semi and Grand) there is a minimum Away game qualification method - 10 Away games must be played to qualify for any finals event.

I have also stated that due to the confusion on this matter we will scrap this qualification method for this season and try to better communicate this next season.

LASTLY;

Top 5 on any event leader board (Away or Home) will qualify you for that event's type semi final:

So Challenge event top 5 = Challenge Semi Final
Foundation Event top 5 = Foundation Semi Final

Any other confusing matters that need rectifying?

Something I am prepared to remove from this season only. I will not make it official until I have looked into this more thoroughly.
