I like the trade up idea and maybe this is where you can use your final table chips. The FTT tourney's are a good idea but some players unable/unwilling to travel to so have their own chip stack building up.
5 FTT gets a T-Shirt
10 FTT gets a jumper
15 FTT bluff magazine subscription.

1 FTT = 6 cents.

So therefore the trade up would be looking something like this:

250 FTTs = T shirt
1500 FTTs = Bluff subscription.

Irrespective of what is displayed at events many players still love the trophies and I know many guys have them proudly sitting on their mantle piece.

I honestly don't think we could take away the trophies.

In regards to multiple wins in a season - I don't know how I could budget for this but what amount of wins is worthy of a mention? Do we base it around wins vs player numbers at events?

My personal opinion is any win of 5/10 greater. How about wins overall, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 for your 1000th win you receive a bracelet or something along those lines?

The card protector is something I am working on, but I want a custom made protector for NPL players not the generic, mass produced protectors we have seen previously. This does take time and in terms of indent ordering (custom specifications and production) this takes a minimum of 20 weeks; design, sample production, review of sample, changes to design, re production of sample, final sign off and then production and shipping as well as customs. So the card protectors won't be ready for season 3 or season 4, but there is a distinct possibility of it happening next year or commencing in season 5.

Holy crap I just realised 20 weeks, that's almost half a year!

I think some acknowledgement at the state finals would be appreicated.
Some people play over 60 games win mulitple games finish 11th on leaderboard and don't even get a mention.
Presentation prior to commencing the state final would at least make them feel appreciated.

I think recognition and your name in the spotlight is sometimes worth more to players than some prizes

Looking at the stats regardless of number of players, very few players win 5 events in a season.
I think they should still have to have played the minimum 15 games so that they appear on the state leaderboard, but a plague for winning 5 events would be good.

I understand also 1 FTT is technically 6 cents, but by not having a daily trophy you use this money to buy the NPL branded merchandise.

10 FTT in a season still means that the player has played at least 10 games (probably more like 20 games) at an average of at least $15 per game and hence generated money for the NPL. If you lose players playing multiple events over several different venues that is a large income stream. Most players at NPL are loyal to NPL and would like quality NPL branded merchandise.

I have seen the new glass trophys and though an improvement on previous trophys, I would still prefer to play more venues to try and win a trophy/plague that is large enough and looks good enough to have pride of place on the wall/mantle piece and not just tucked away somewhere.

Would you rather have 5 glass trophies all the same or a nice large plague that states you were a mulitple tournement winner. With your name season and date on the plague?

decks of cards, sunnies, beanies sound good,trophy must stay, card protectors are saddly missed, new key rings are well liked as are the stubbie holders and the new hat.

Love the new trophey's but do miss the card protectors. Had my first win this season and was absolutely over the moon . I am not a very good player and I only play once or twice a week so I dont think I would get 5 in a season but I do like to idea of rewarding anyone who did.

I like the new glass trophy... and are/am/is striving to add it to my collection..

New prize structure and venue leader reconigtion are worthy changes to the NPL system... Variety in colour and style each season for me is still sufficent enticement to win tourneys even multi times.
