Yep. All I'm doing is repeating what I've heard - but without an official announcement, its being filed under "rumour" for now.

Anyway, back on topic (even though it was only slightly off :D )I'd like to see the trophy for 1st stay, but I think we could easily do away with the card protector that accompanies it. Alex's idea of receiving something that is redeemable for goods at a later date is a good one, IMO. Would probably skew that more to the winner as well.

The idea in question is definitely one that has been bandied about in recent weeks.

Trophies are just dust collectors. What about a pennant, like the AFL premiers flag?

NPL Year 2 Season 3 Week 4 winner!!

Then you can have one for each position on the FT. Just going down in size. :)

You mean, like the pennant they give to accompany the more coveted trophy? ;)

Yeah, that's the one.

I was thinking moreso like the 4 points for the win, on your way to the Finals, where you win a trophy.

As much as all of your ideas are (semi) great there are some realistic issues to deal with.

Especially when dealing with FTT and having them redeemable for anything.

There is too much administration work and scope for fraud in Alex's idea.

The FTT will be used for entry into a regional based tournament, until we cement all the ideas and structure this is the most official announcement you will get.

We have a set budget to stick to for nightly prizes and I don't want to head in the direction of giving every final table token and a monetary value and ensuring that the player redeeming these has the right amount that we should have.

Placing a monetary value on this product would see the doors open for collusion, cheating, fraud and even possibly violence, especially if we did have monster prizes such as entry into the Aussie Millions for 1,000,000 chips. But it a very likely outcome.

Anyway, FTT are here to stay. So we are now looking at a small memento for first (trophy, etc....), a decent quality hat, and maybe a metal keyring of good quality. And second can have a stubby holder or something of equal cheapness???

I like this idea. A snazzy metal keyring would be very nice! I think quality rather than quantity regarding prizes should be the main focus.
