Lol!

Might not be a bad idea to mention that the "coming back in with your stamp card rule" only applies to APL free-rolls, not CBI events. Otherwise everyone will be like "but the Rail told me I could!!!!"..... ;)

Fine.

I'll go back and play APL.

Have a few beers, play some cards, make new friends, have a good time.

Damn research sucks!

Your review of the other leagues, especially NPPL was about as balanced and as fair minded as a Today Tonight story.

If you were unsure about something, why not ask the TD? Not sure who is the TD, ask someone who is the TD etc.

What were the prizes on offer, what time did it finish, was it a good structure in the end stages of the tourney? That you didn't even bother to hang around to complete your 'review' is an indictment on your credibility, and the whole credibility of this podcast.

Bennymacca's review of the Adelaide Champs was great, Scott asked some good questions (seemingly in a bid to get the 'review' back on track) but the black hole of ill-informed rambling in the middle was terrible.

Joe blow came 6th, dont know him... Jill Jones came 5th...don't know her - why is it relevent if you know these people? You should really listen to these podcasts (or have someone who will give you honest feedback) and trim the fat to keep it sharp.

If you are happy to be a few guys sitting around chatting about 888pl and your mates who play it, your are spot on. But if you are aiming to produce something professional and appealling to a broader market, you are missing the mark.

My review is honest, and I make no apologies for that.

Good luck in the future.
May all your pain be champagne!

to be honest i agree with you - I think old-man daryl was a little harsh in the middle when it came to his review, and listening back on it, i thought a little bit the same as you. maybe old-man daryl we can go back and do a more thorough review sometime.

i think we were trying to look for "notables" in the field for something we could comment on - you are correct that it doesn't matter if we know them, but us sitting there and reading a list is pretty boring, so i guess we were trying to find something to comment on and were just struggling a bit :P

gmatical, ill now as you a question - what would YOU like to listen to? are you even interested at all? it seems your good feedback is very short and your negative feedback is quite long. im not saying that is a bad thing, i am just asking what you would like out of the podcast? any topics you would like us to talk about?

maybe it is a bit like art - you know it when you see it, but hard to describe.

this is possible, but i think in general we could have been a little less harsh and a little more informative about NPPL. we will definitely try and correct this in the future (or alternatively not talk about them again)
