I think Essendon deserve a top 8 spot and I am not only saying that because I am a bomber supporter. They've been better than the Hawks all season.

totally agree, the bombers have a young list...maybe next year mate (baby steps).

Tayte will definitely play on Buddy. He had a cracker of a game last time they met and did well to restrict Buddy. Fletcher may get him if Tayte's defence goes pear-shaped (pun intended)

HAWTHORN face being without Lance Franklin for its cutthroat clash with Essendon this weekend because of suspension.

The AFL's match review panel has charged Franklin with rough conduct over a head-high bump on Richmond's Ben Cousins during Saturday's win over Richmond.

He can accept a one-match ban with an early guilty plea, but faces two games out should he fight the matter at the tribunal and fail.

Hawthorn are already missing other key forward Jarryd Roughead through injury, meaning a severely depleted attack for the do-or-die clash with Essendon at the MCG on Saturday if Franklin is suspended.

I'm going to write to Lance Franklin and try to get some reimbursement on the double or nothing Carlsberg 6 pack bet I'm probably going to lose to my bombers supporting workmate.
