aaron, gundog is right, i doubt people would then get in the car and head down to the local
but that is missing the point
the point is that the player made a choice that the freeroll online was more attractive for them to play than the pub game. this is what cannot happen in a league such as this, or else it will become an online league only.
Why is he right? Why wouldn't you go play at the pub if the online freeroll was full? That seems like exactly what you
would do (if you had access to as many games as the city players do).
Aaron it's not too hard if you look at it as a family man or woman or have other family or business responabilities. Your very fortunate to have only yourself to worry about at the moment but I'm sure you will see what I mean when those circumstances change.
Some simple things such as cash flow, young family, too wet, too cold or just simply not feeling too good and prefering to play at home rather than coughing and sneezing at a venue.
I'm sure there are many more reasons for staying at home and playing online be it on 888 or another online provider but the above would be some of my reasons for not going.
Personally, I couldn't get on the early game so I registered on Star for one tourney and FT for another one and played on FT till my tourney came up.
I did register for the late tourney on 888 and when time came to playing my son was home on the computer so I played allin for three hands and busted out so it wasn't a dead stack just being blinded out.
