I can't really recall my first ever buy in event, Brett might need to correct me here, but I think it was the $100 buy in held on Sundays at Crown. Or was it the Poker Pro toruney? Anyway I think my brother was the first to cash in any of our tourneys we played. I had a few minor cashes here and there.

Think you played the first sunday tourney without me, with Dimos.

When we played together.

The results:
1. Brett 8th for $253
2. Can't find link. 31-12-07 Garth Kay 8th for 230 odd.
3. 24-1-08 Brett 5th for $140, Nathan Butler 2nd Chopped for the $$$.

Brett has since blanked then. Garth well, we all know where he went to.

but,
when the planned cash game events enter south australia, will they be run as 'stand alone' events, with the only prizes given being the cash payouts from the prizepool, or will the 'regular' points system still apply

i.e. will and cash buy-in event still have a leaderboard and still have players qualify for the NPL champs main event from it??

Obvuisly the structure of the tourney might change slightly (no bad beats, redraws) but it will essentially be a similar tourney, and i think there is no reason why people still couldnt qualify for states.

I do have an interest in this one, as a little birdy told me that my regular venue could/might be on the list for proposed cash buy in events in the fiture.

I am pretty stuffed right now and am not thinking so straight.

Leaderboards will apply: players will progress to the $25,000 Main Event.

Tournament structure will be changed slightly, 2K start stacks, tournament structure which includes antes, is slightly more relaxed but has a more accelerated time frame (15 min blind levels instead of 20).

Bad beats and re draws will not be in practice at these events - passports will apply as in freeroll structure but the rebuys are worth 2K and add ons are worth 4K.

All regional areas will have at least one tournament and metro areas will have at least two with the commencement of CBI events.

The prize structure will be slightly different, with set structures for certain "bands" of player numbers, the prize pool distributed will be for the majority cash but some prizes will also be entries into guaranteed invitational events.

I will release detailed information on this later next week, when brain is working!

Hi Garth, I realise your tired and maybe you can answer this at a later date. Can I ask why you need a PRC if you have already decided on the actual cash game formats?

I thought your poll relating to PRC was not only to assist you with ideas and forming players etiquette, penalty structures, rules etc, but also what players like myself would like to see in their NPL as a player.

I realise for you (NPL) to get the cash games up and running within your short time slot that the formats had to be up and running as of last Friday. And obviously in the reply to Macca the basic buyins are going to also have the similar flight system as a freeroll just different values.

Are NPL going to standardise the stamping system or are they still gonna be at the discretion of the venue operators????
