I played in venue today. 40 runners and came third. Horrible last hand - A 10 v J 6 and ace on the flop only to see runner runner straight...

Edit: 3rd for $70 - $10 buy-in.

Should have reraised on the flop. Isolate the player. If you are trying to get max value, then it is a matter of calling to induce the call and getting it all in on the turn, especially with that hand on a low board.

old man Swanky was all-in FWIW. I thought the jam into the dry sidepot meant three 4s or a FH. I snap folded. What's the prevailing view on sidepots now - just ignore the old dry sidepot etiquette?

Its not ignoring the dry sidepot. But putting him onto a range. If it was just you and Worny in the hand. How would you have played it?

Raise to 400, Worny calls.

Board comes out, you Cbet to ???.

Fire again on the turn, or check to induce bet? reraise and then see if he is willing to put it all in?

River arrives. How confident do you feel that your hand is the best. With the information you have learnt through your bets.
