Re: Big Pete's Zero Card Challenge
I'm yet to complete the final leaderboard for this challenge, but I'd like to firstly congratulate Scott on absolutely pantsing me over the course of the season. Well done mate.
Although this wasn't part of the challenge I'd like to blow my own trumpet for a moment and announce that I've managed to make entry to the state final!!!!!! I'm so excited I have 3/4 of a mongrel
My best result seemed to be a 7th placing at Swish, but Adam Gabrielli (who finished 4th) finished higher up at The Ballroom and Laura Hamilton (who finished in 1st!) finished 1st also at The Highlander for more points so she counts there instead! This bumps me up to 5th place and puts me in the state final.
For this to happen I needed Laura to put in a performance today to ensure she finished 1st at The Highlander and she did just that by finishing later than her 2 nearest rivals and 3rd on the day. Laura, I cannot thank you enough! <mwah!>
Sorry folks, got a little excited there
P.S. - Darren, I do believe you are owed some skittles

Re: Big Pete's Zero Card Challenge
Pete, I thought I should take a minute to thank you for all your help regarding my own poker play. Out of 35 games I DNP'ed just 11 times, I was on a lot of final tables and i FINALLY got a win (and then another one the very next night). Season 2 of 2008 was by far my best season. You have been the biggest help, and I appreciate all the times you hung around to watch me finish after you were knocked out by some often shocking calls by people, when you could have just left. So, THANK YOU!
Also, a quick shout out to a few other guys who helped make season 2 extremely enjoyable - i'd name you, but this is Pete's thread!
