I wil take this Issue Up 888 online

That Being How do you get to a Situation of OC Event #2
where you Cash For less than the Buy-in??????

Also Highrollers $55 event 10th you get $58 its a Outright Insult To a Person Intelligence.

I have Clocked Over 5000 games on 888poker and Have seen How payout Structures Have Been Done But For a Premium Event For the Online Champs I Feel you Have a Option To Communicate with 888 Online To have a Say on what Structure you would Like ???????
Like I said Previous this would Never Happen Live ????

You have not said what you would like as an alternative. Maybe pay less people but increase the amount they are paid for min cashes ? Pay more people and reduce the payments across the board? Or is it just that you think the top couple of people get paid to much? As I said before I do not have an issue with the structure and do believe that a tournament should be weighted more heavily towards the top 3 but that is my opinion. And I do think that 20% of players paid in the high rollers is very generous and something I liked but again this is my opinion. I would like to hear what you would like to see and for interests sake when playing live what sort of payout does min cash usually get as I thought it was close to money back.

At what point do you pay out more people. If you look at 888 and the structure for the payouts. They pay out to 20 once they are over 100 runners. Hence where the magic number is 110 means you most likely get your buyin back. You would have the same issue if you are just over 200 with another extra 10 runners being paid.

Now think of the other way if you have over 1000 people in an event, they are still only going to be paying up to 70 runners. Meaning min cashing gets a lot more than it should be.

From the software 4 years ago to where it is today, i think Payouts weren't that high on anyones priorities because there were a lot more major issues to be solved first.

I agree it does suck when you min cash and you get slightly less than your buyin back.

However, that's down to how many people got off their bums and actually entered the event to start with, nobody elses fault at all.

As has already been pointed out, the alternative is to pay less places OR to pay less of a % to the higher places (which would be wrong IMO).

The point that's also been made about taking a longer term approach and an overall goal of consistently aiming for the win is the correct view to have.

As a suggestion, if you do happen to min cash and it's hardly seems worth the effort - maybe take a step back and remind youself that a) you cashed and b) the amount you received is based on how many people bothered to enter as much as it is based on any % payout table.

In my humble opinion you would have a better case to put forward if your question was more along the lines of "why weren't there were more runners in a premium online event?" because if there more runners it would have been more fitting given the stature of the occasion and we wouldn't be having this discussion to start with.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I agree that paying 10th was very generous, hence, why I shoved with K7o SB vs BB for my tourny [when I was 5th and ran into AKs :D ] when there were 2 very short stacks still in.

I was prepared to gamble to double up cause at that stage, winning was what I was looking for and don't regret doing it as I was card dead most of the day.

I know some people just play very tight to make the money and hope for the best after that and if I did that, I'm sure I could've made the money in most of the events yesterday but most likely little chance of winning any of them.

I think Top 6 or 7 would've been the best option in the High Rollers.

At the end of the day, you have a fair idea of the pay structure before you start playing, and I always take that into consideration before I register any tourny.

Cards didn't go my way yesterday [nothing new  ], but still had fun playing with people I knew.

Good luck to all playing in today's Main Event!
