He said he thought the villain was too aggro with his big stack so didn't necessarily give him credit for a massive hand and wanted maximum value but ended up losing more than he possibly should have on the river.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

if you have just the nut flush draw, then i probably raise the flop.
but because we have top pair as well, we have a fair bit of showdown equity as well. so a call on the flop is the better option imo.
for the same amount, you can call flop and turn, or you can raise flop. the advantage of the first option is that you can see the river card, and potentially get to showdown.
if you raise the flop and get called, then the opponent fires the K turn, i dont think we can call any more, which is tough because we have such a good hand.

I believe this is where players make the wrong turn sometimes. Chasing maximum value is not always the best way (for me that is).

It certainly is a tough spot.
The check raise could be a great player that has played his AK to perfection......
....... or a muppet that over-values 2nd nut flush (or even trips).
Either way the all in is a great play, I can't see how we can justify a call without seeing some really poor play by the player earlier in the day.
Its easy to say in hindsight - but a check behind might have been worth losing the value (if our flush is winning) just to see how/what this aggressive big stack plays.
ie what hand is he leading into 2 players with post flop?

i think there is enough value from naked kings that we can't check behind here. but i doubt someone would raise trips after the flush got there.
