Re: 5 poket pairs on a 6 handed table
To be honest I am always limping there at this level given the crap people play in a $2.20. I had a read on the player and it was the last hand before a break so given my read and the way he was playing I expected him to push anything.

so instead of waiting for good hands and (more importantly) position to punish these players for playing crap, you decided to play a hand with massive reverse implied odds out of positon?
i would say that you sir are one of these players that play crap!!!!!

lol I didn't say they were crap players just that they play crap cards. I also didn't say I played it well or am defending the play - it's obv a bad play. Just sick hopw he got a runner runner. To be honest when you play at the $2.20 level - position and playing premiere starting hands is a good way to get blinded out. Have to loosen up quite a bit.

you will notice i didn't say they were crap players wither.
but it is sort of implied.

why do you have to loosen up? that is entirely ridiculous if you ask me.
if anything, you have to loosen up the higher you go (i.e higher than microstakes) as nits are exploitable too.
but in a $2.20 tourney, i can guarantee you would make money if you played top 10% of hands and nothing more.
yes i am serious.
for fun, try it out. for say your next 5 or 10 tourneys, only play the top 10% of hands, at least until you make the cash.
i would love to see how your results change (for the better or worse)
