To win tournaments you need to win races.
Sooner or later your stack is going to be effectively 10 BB or less. 60/40 is a freaking fantastic opportunity to get those chips in there and look for a double up.

I kept quiet this evening Krunchie, and I just won my tournament.
Would have jinxed myself if I'd posted my progress!

I'm just glad I'm not currently reading AK's entire hand history for the tenth time
Unlucky there krunchie, nothing wrong with that play. Steve is a very bad player

agree with me or not we a poker family (imo) and we all can learn from each other and also cellebrate sucsess and comiserate failiure ( ie bennys bad beats), yes i put my self out for ridicule for posting it but who cares, i didnt loose any money, i still belive i made the right call ( i went in ahead) and it gave a few of you some entertainment value for a few minutes, so i belive i have done the right thing.

more of a bad luck thing
My mistake mate, apologies.
Chelsea4thewin wrote:the reason i think it was the wrong call to make was he could of picked a better spot down the track to put all his money in, to work that hard to get that far in the tourney i dont wanna risk it on a coin flip, wow he was 60/40 or whatever it is, not giving me the best of odds
I can only back up what Garth said. You need to keep winning races to go deep in a tourny. This isn't the WSOP ME, no online tourny has stacks deep enough to be able to wait for 3 hours and pick a spot. Eventually, you're gonna get blinded out. Races (or 60/40) need to be taken. You can't wait for QQs up.
Pete: Do shut up.
