Agreed, very well done to all involved. The professionalism of NPL and how it runs all it's tournaments showed as all the players I came across were well behaved, competent, and on the most part handled the ante system well. I can't remember a hand where a TD was actually required to clear anything up which is proof of how well NPL has done in bringing poker to the masses in SA.

Enjoyed my first finals experience very much, and looking forward to future state finals

We took a phone call from gareth bit after 11pm i think saying he had 125k and was on the final table with 8 making it!

We then got a text saying he came 8th and his pocket 2's got smashed by 5 6 off!!! not a happy chappy, but hey thats an AWESOME effort Gareth and well done buddy!!!

i came 16th when my goal was top 50, i was playing great poker, i had 85,000 in chips WITHOUT ever going all in, and everytime i was in a big pot i was getting massive suck outs.

if i'd catch a theif they'd knock me flat

Nice simple report Garth. It was a magic day and for some even moreso. Congratulations to all the finalists and especially those who made the final table. Nice to see me old M8 Tony Ward do so well, congratulations Tony well done.

For some stupid bloody reason I feel really sad to see you are going back to Victoria M8, but I do sincerely, wish you every success with your new venture.
