i played on your table (table 15) old man Swanky - i'm the big guy sitting directly across from you, you were pretty unlucky!!

Ahhh nice one Smooth :)
Unlucky was not the word I would use.
I had one of the greatest gifts given to any poker player yesterday. I was given a fearsome table image before we even started by heading on to the stage and collecting cheques.
It was even noted by most players that i should be feared, I was quite happy with that.
It seems I was feared to a certain degree, unfortunately I wasn't respected.
Was a shame considering the amount of hard work I had put in, to not only earn those cheques but also to earn my spot in that particular tournament. That tournament was my Grand Final for that season past. The worst part is I got amazing hands that had to be folded, and amazing hands that didn't hold up.

Hence today's Facebook Status:

Oh well, congrats on making it to the combine at least Smooth, well played mate.

Tim said when he rang Matty at 10:30, there were 32 left and JMACK was chip leader.
After that, no idea.

Peter M Kelly Just got back from taking out 2nd place in the semi-finals - a cool $3.5k + a ticket to the grand finals in Melbourne. Unfortunately my KK got killed by A8 :( but it was a great tournament with a starting field of 500+ players. Congrats to Patrick for taking out 1st.

Patrick (I'm sorry I don't know his last name) won and I came second.

Final hand:

KK in SB calls, BB raises all in with A8, SB calls.

A in the window gives the tournament to Patrick.

bad luck pete. what were the blinds and stack sizes? A8 is probably a hand you would look to get it all in with in a lot of short stacked heads up situation, and you just got the wrong end of the stick.

well played on getting that far though
