Sounds good, you can only try these things and tweak them if necessary.

The most unfair thing that I see in DT setup at the moment is that 2 players (currently in the top 20) openly play online under the one username. This is so blatant that when online, players actually ask is this A or B playing, and are answered. This is just wrong, especially when cash is up for grabs. I don't suppose they are the only ones either.

Any ideas to equalize/combat this?? Or do we all form teams?? :P

I've also seen that, and yeah isn't really fair so something should be done...

Extra games is awesome, but having nine games starting from 9 onwards and none earlier is a bit silly. There will definately be lots of people annoyed about this i think.

Is there a reason for this? One might assume that it is because 888pl want more patronage at their away venues (which of course is good) but 4 out of those 9 later games start at or before 10'oclock SA time anyway. Most players won't be home from their regular venue at that time anyway.

What about moving all of the below games one hour forwards?? or at least the first couple....

Simply because we wanted to put more emphasis of playing in venue and also because we have received many complaints about the times online games were operating from many clients. We are trying to make it as balanced as possible without affecting the in venue trade from our major revenue stream; the venues.

This is the only way we can operate these events at this time and we need to re activate many players to play in venue once again. At the moment the average player who plays both online and in venue is participating in 10 online games to every one in venue game, and that is with the current limited home game fixture.

1.) Noone will be happy with this but we are scrapping the Challenge Semi Final concept and moving to one $30K Semi Final in Vic and SA with more of an emphasis on creating a true two day state based carnival atmosphere. We are also looking to stretch the payouts out to over the top 30 for this event.

Basically the proposed schedule looks awesome..........however i'm unsure if you've supplied all available info.........what options/opportunities are available for Tassie players in regards to Semi Finals?

Semi Final will be conducted in Tasmania as per usual. Anyone who finishes in top 5 in away score boards will qualify and any Tasmanians who wualify inside the top 5 of a Home score board will qualify for their Tasmanian Semi Final.

thelaw88 wrote:Was thinking the same thing, further to that, the change in point allocation will make the online freerolls pretty useless and it doesn't seem to equal things out, it will merely diminish the amount of people that will want to play online resulting in less people exposed to 888 = less deposits and less commission?

Evening out the field would probably be easier by limiting the amount of runners online (to 80-100?) - given the reduced registration times (30 mins) and increased amount of online events, this shouldn't be a problem to people, and those that do well in venues will have as much of a chance to get on the DT as those that play online.

In my opinion there should be some sort of average leaderboard incentive for people to play challenge games, especially if you can qualify from free tourneys or challenges to the same semi-final.

Just my opinion...I understand that these concerns would be weighed up and business will ultimately rather favour of no online/limited online focus and more venue...

You can still qualify for the DT scoreboard by playing free rolls we have just made it easier for players who play more in venue or smaller field challenge events.

When you look at our comp structure from a players point of view the events that have the most cost for a player are in the following order:

In venue Challenge
In venue Foundation
Challenge Home
Foundation Away

With the current DT mechanics and comp structure the players spending the less amount of money and only playing freerolls online are the most rewarded. We needed this change to balance this out and yet we cannot decrease the amount of freerolls or the player cap online because we still want as many players as possible active online.

The incentive to play Challenge games now is the same amount of points for a smaller field size.

trishan wrote:Structure for Foundation Semi same as GF?

Nope.

I am still thinking on this.

But it definitely won't be a full two day event, maybe more of a deeper stacked event and a longer day 1 with the FT or money positons played out on Day 2.

Or have Saturday as side events day (much like OC) with three or four Championship side events and then the Sunday as the Semi Final.

Either way I would say that we are still looking at a 5K start stack with 30 minute blind levels and a deeper payout structure out to 30th.
