I forget the basic stuff when I start to become very competitive... which happened towards the end of last season. I was so focussed on making sure I reached one of the semi-finals that strategy (and basics) went out the window. I woudn't peform well, I'd become disheartened, wasn't focussed, would play again, wouldn't perform well and the cycle continued.
Reading the books and going back to basics has really helped... have been playing well over the past week or so. I even won my first 888PL freeroll today... finally!
