But players are not removed from any online leader boards.

So shouldn't Bob qualify online, and therefore be removed from the Wheatsheaf.

Bugga me you can say in one line compared to my novel.

Doesn't really change much. The live qualifiers are worked out as they always were, and a second list of all top 5 players from online events would be created. Some names would appear on both lists, but that doesnt really matter, no need to find anyone else to take their place.

My understanding was that away boards were calculated first. If players qualifying via those also appeared in the top 5 of an online board, there were simply less players qualifying there. I didn't think it was a case of a higher online position discounting an away position.

Again - I could be completely off the mark. but this is what I was told.

At least thats how i understand it anyway.

I'm saying the away (live) position could move up not the onliner.

Im pretty sure a live player would only move up if you qualified from two different live challenge games.

I guess so, but the system for working out who qualifies where is just so confusing.

Not really.

Away game qualification is the same as always. If placed on 2 seperate away leaderboards the highest one is your qualifcation venue and you are removed from the other leaderboard(s), bumping someone else into qualification.

Home game qualification should be seen as a suppliment. Top 5 are calculated for every event. You then remove players that qualified from different states and players who have qualified via away venues, WITHOUT REPLACING THEM IN THE LEADERBOARDS.

You are then left with the remaining players who have qualified via home games.

This is the way I have understood it. Apologies if not entirely correct, but the fundamentals are right.

As with most things, easier said than done. I too do not envy the person who had to sift all the results to generate the qualifiers list.

Thanks Caleb. Seems to make some sense and also makes life somewhat easier for those doing the task.

I suppose I should take a more selfish attitude and not want others to move to a higher position that could possibly knock me out. :o

Thanks to all of you who offered your thoughts and input. Hopefully, with some additional luck I might make the GF via the Challenge Semi final. ;)
