I have to keep reminding myself they're still on :)

2pm - check the night's games.

in the 888pl events, i dont really think there needs to be late rego - they are reaching their cap already

on another note, i am getting used to the software, and i dont think its that bad.

Yeah that doesn't make a lot of sense benny the cunt :)

If you're having to get used to it then it's not up to scratch to begin with and now you are just learning to tolerate it.

Just you try and tell me that you don't still want those other features we're all so annoyed don't come as standard.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Rego actually must close a few minutes before the tourney starts, as I tried to rego 2 mins before, but couldnt.

And the tourney wasn't full, and people had not been seated.

5 minutes late rego would be awesome.

I only downloaded the software 2 weeks ago, so am assuming I have the latest version (should have an auto update check on startup anyhow - NOPE you need to manually click 'Software Updates' on the Help menu, so I did and now definitely have the latest version)

I am a programmer by profession, and I find the 888 client quite buggy.

* It periodically won't let me type into the bet amount textbox, and as the slider (ridiculously) increments by 1, I either raise a silly amount like 311 with BB of 100 or worse, just clicking the min-raise button just so I can raise in time! (now I know about the preset minimum thing from reading this thread though)

* Multitabling is a pain in the @$$! They DON'T popup like they should, even though I have the option set (after emailing support@888.com all they could offer was 'reinstall the software' - very helpful)

* Having to close and reopen the table if you bust out and want to chat still

* It would be useful if the starting stack was notified in the tournament lobby, and all the (under $20) SnGs have only 1200 start stacks, which is rather odd amount. Hence, I dont play any of them, only the ring games or 888PL tourneys.

* No Antes! Whats up with THAT?

* Cant browse insant hand histories, only access the previous hand AND unlike every other poker site it doesnt show mucked cards at showdown (its in the hand history file though) btw: I am working on a seperate app that will let you browse the hand history file as it is updated in realtime - let you know when its finished for any who are interested (it WILL highlight mucked showdown cards :D)

* I think a 5 or 10 minute (1 level) late registration period would be a good idea for the buyin games (as someone stated earlier in the thread, the freerolls usually fillup anyhow)

On the PLUS side:
LOOSE ring games.... u can clean up! 2K @ PLO Garth .... WD! But mate don't play BlackJack!

I would imagine that 888.com LOVED the idea of teaming up with NPL, Its probably doubled their traffic!
Client software definitely needs work.

FYI: In the installation folder there are 2 files: pv.exe and ListProc.exe. these are programs designed to scan the programs you are running on your machine and report this back to 888.com - also notice the file 'ProcessList.txt'? (PokerStars does even more 'information snooping' not to mention having completely unethical TOS agreements) Personally I find this intrusive, but if you rename them, eg to pv.exe.x so they are no longer executable the software still works, it just dosn't snoop your running processes (applications). They do this under the guise of stopping 'Pokerbots' and other banned 'assistance' software, but PokerStars TOS goes so far as to ban certain programs from even being installed on your machine, even if you never run them concurrently with PokerStars! I say 'Bring on the Bots!' most of them are losing!

Love the sound of this. However, you can access your Game History in the Main Lobby, and that shows you all the hands you have had in the tourney you are currently playing. Click on the MTT selection for 888pl games.

AJG - started something similar myself, must a web based script that you can refresh and see the latest 10 hands. so not really a program per se, but it was all I wanted.
