A top 2 from a venue and top 20 leaderboard? Nah. I had written up a big thing about it and then I actually read the 2nd last message and realized it had been covered already.

Cougs...

Oh and on your perfect world.... Pete and I would still be emailing you about SOMETHING.
Will dance for your chips!

I'd do it just to pass the time of day :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Hi Guys,
I appreciate the fact that everyone is debating on this so much, but I sat down tonight and using the admin tool and a fair bit of excel spreadsheets and cutting and pasting I thought you would all like to know that out of ALL the players on the State Leaderboard there are only 7 players who are not in the top 5 of a venue. That's seven players people out of all of that leaderboard.
The majority of our top ten on the State leaderboard are currently sitting 1st or 2nd in at least one venue.
I think this is fairly definitive that even though the top 50 is skewed more towards those that can afford the time and money to play several games per week it is still indicative of players who achieve a placing fairly consistently.
If the top 5 in a venue is to be the judge of what we classify as a good player then I think we are not far off the mark in saying that even though the State Leaderboard is not a "true" representation of the best poker players within the NPL it still contains 99% of players which we classify as good players.
Agreed?

I think Garth meant the top 50. The whole leaderboard would have every single player who played even one game in Season 2.

I wonder if the reverse is true. Are the top 5 in venues also in the top 50 as well? Then we know if most of the venues are dominated by players who actually wander around the State looking for games!

Sorry Ricky, I actually meant the whole State Leaderboard. You have to play a minimum of 25 games before your name even goes up on the State Leaderboard now.

BRING BACK THE OLD SYSTEM!!!
If we were using the old system i would be in the top 50, currently im somewhere in the 100's now due to living in a rural area and being only able to play upto 3 times a week unless i travel to Adelaide, so basically im disadvantaged by living in a hole once again!!

Hopefully next season will see the yorke pen have at least 5 tournys a week!! BRING IT ON!!

Jess!
