It isn't hard at all. I'm quite sure you could manage it :P

I'm even more sure that you could tell the venue staff that do the setup just what they're doing wrong and why.

That might even solve the problem! :o

Been there done that Pete, but they still put them in the middle of the two cups and shrug their shoulders with a "Oh well they can move them if they want too"

I think it's an edge on them becoming rocket scientists for our future

I personally prefer the oval table, the round table can be a pain in the ar$e to sit at, some positions the legs just get in the way, at he start of the night I try get a possy avoiding the legs.

There are a couple of sizes in the round tables (party poker table are a bit smaller, they can be a bit squeezy with a few XL players at the table ( Ok fat B******s)

However I do like the idea of using a competent dealer to deal the large table gr8 idea, perhaps when it comes down to last 2 tables and when a player is lost off each table a spectator could be encouraged to act as dealer for the table thus leaving the 7/9 players on each table to concentrate on their game rather than the deal, Positioning the last 2 tables and dealers in away that the dealers could see each other, this would facilitate an easy hand for hand deal to be carried out.

like thats going to happen with a set dealer at each table, willing to deal every hand.

The point is why have 10 players on a table?

What is the advantage of having 10 per table, compared to 8?

as garth said earlier, you will more action

with 10 at a table when u get pocket aces or hit a set on the flop there is a greater chance of someone else having a big hand so they will be willing to call your raise, and your hand will pay off

nothin worse then having the nuts and having to check it down lol

I like 8 personally, although you get more action, id rather be playing against one or 2 players if i was holding pocket jacks on the button than playing against 4 or 5.

no sh it.

Every other league has a max of 8, why should NPL be different.

If there are sufficient tables, why do tournament directors have 10 on the table?

Final table is 8 or 9 max. Shouldn't the whole tournament conform with how the final table is to be set out?

Why should the NPL be different? Because they ARE different. And by a long shot the best pub poker leugge that I've played in. I don't HATE 10 seater tables by any means, but I'll generall avoid them if I can to maybe get around the table before the blind level increases.

On the other side of the coin, when you're close to the bubble and the button has just passed you, can be a blessing in disguise taking that little bit of extra time to get around to you.
