BB tried to argue innocence and suggest he take his money back (not win the pot), but the TD stood his ground and made the correct ruling.

What if there was a third person in the hand who also called down to the river. If the SB mucked before BB declares he has three cards, does the third player win (SB mucked) or is the pot split between the SB and third player regardless of the strength of each of their hands. Tricky.

That an easy example as there is still a player with a live hand when the BB rolls 3 cards.

Are you implying he wasn't innocent?

earlier you said he didn't know he had three cards - I sort of don't blame him for trying to defend it.
